Washington DC in the fall. What a great setting and time for a MCTA reunion!
We renewed long-term friendships and fostered new ones. We toured the National Museum of the Marine Corps where we saw Ed Dunlap’s tank from Desert Shield/Desert Storm on display. Once this display is finished, it will be a testimate to many generations of Marines and the public to the dedication and sacrifice Marine Corps tankers made to liberating the people of Kuwait from a murderous tyrant. We also made a pilgrimage to the Iwo Jima Memorial and wandered around the monuments on the National Mall. Finally, we finished the Conference listening to a inspirational talk from Lieutenant General Marty Steele.
